PALEMBANG, Indonesia, Aug. 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's deaf tennis player Lee Duck-hee won bronze medal in the men's singles at the 18th Asian Games on Friday.
Wu Yibing of China defeated Lee 2-1 (6-3, 3-6, 7-5) at Jakabaring Sports City Tennis Court in Palembang, co-host city with Jakarta.
Without third-place matches, Lee and the other semifinal loser, Prajnesh Gunneswaran Prabhakharan of India, each got a bronze.
A 10-time winner on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Circuit, Lee dropped the opening set before rallying in the second set to tie the match.
The third set was a seesaw affair before Wu came out on top after 54 minutes.
Lee is the first South Korean medalist in the Asiad men's singles since Lee Hyung-taik won silver in 2006.
