Gauranshi Sharma, a day-boarding badminton player trained at the stadium, will represent the Indian team in the Second World Youth Deaf Badminton Championship. The championship will be held in Taipei from China from July 13 to 22, 2019.
Gaurganshi will perform talent in the under-16 category of the girl. Gaurangi Sharma, the talented player of Bhopal, is the only player from Madhya Pradesh who has been selected for this championship.
For partnering with the World Youth Deaf Badminton Championship, Gauruna left for Bhopal from Delhi today. Gauranshi Sharma will participate in the seven-day training camp organised by the Sports Authority of India in Delhi.
Prior to leaving for Delhi, Gaurbanshi accompanied her parents and met the State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jeetu Patwari and presented him at his residence. Sports Minister Jeetu Patwari congratulated Gauranshi Sharma for his selection for the World Youth Deaf Badminton Championship.
They greeted Gaurnasi with a good performance in the championship and congratulated the country for winning the title. Kalpival MLA Shri Kunal Chaudhary was also present on this occasion. Gauranshi, Director Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen was also present. Sports Director Thoussen expressed his happiness at being selected in Gaurani Sharma's World Youth Deaf Badminton Championships and encouraged her to excel in the championship for his outstanding performance.
It is worth mentioning that the top eight players from India were called in the trial organized by the Sports Authority of India in the past month. Four of these players were selected, including Gaurnashi.
It is also worth mentioning here that the 12-year-old Gauranshi Sharma, who was studying in Asha Niketan School, is learning the nuances of Badminton Sports from Badminton trainer Rashmi Malviya at the TT Nagar Stadium for the last 3 years.
