Rohtak: A national-level sensitisation and basic Indian sign language online training programme for better accessibility of workplace commenced under the joint aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR); Human Resource Development Centre, Ghaziabad; Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment (HWSPSHI), Panchkula; and Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU). Director General, CSIR, Shekhar C Mande said tech-enabled solution to make workplace inclusive for hearing and speech impaired persons was the need of the hour. HWSPSHI chairperson Sharanjeet Kaur said people need to be sensitised about the condition of such persons. MDU Vice Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singh said universities and scientific organisations like CSIR must work together to find solutions for societal problems by conducting joint research programmes.
