The joint project by Slum Soccer and DeafKidz International DeafKidz Goal! looks to deliver holistic life skills sessions using football to deaf children and young people in Nagpur, India. They are looking for a Project Manager for the 3-year programme. Deadline: 31 May 2019
DeafKidz Goal! is a 3 year life skills programme being delivered to children in Nagpur, India jointly by DeafKidz International and Slum Soccer. The DeafKidz Goal! programme will see Deaf children and young people in Nagpur receiving holistic support to lead safe, secure and settled lives. Using the platform of football to engage, Deaf coaches will be trained to deliver life skills and wellbeing sessions to Deaf children and young people, enabling them to develop their life and social skills and progress to leadership opportunities. Also the project will establish robust pathways of care and support to child protection services, Deaf schools and audiology services for Deaf children and young people.
We are very excited and enthusiastic about this unique pilot project, and our new project team must feel the same! We are looking for highly motivated, experienced and passionate candidates to apply for the role of Project Manager to design, manage, deliver, monitor and evalute the 3-year DeafKidz! Goal project.
Key duties:
- Programme design, development and implementation
- Programme delivery and management
- Monitoring, evaluation, and learning
- Programme sustainability
The successful candidate will be based at Slum Soccer’s Headquarters - KridaVikasSanstha Nagpur, St. Ursula Premises, Red Cross Road, Civil Lines, Nagpur, Maharashtra 440001 but will involve travel throughout the Maharashtra region and beyond as required.
- Full time contract (fixed - 3 years), hours to be flexible based on service need. This post will involve evening and weekend work as and when required.
