234 children receive free cochlear implant in city

24.04.2016, Surat: At least 234 children in the age group of eight months to 10 years were operated free-of-cost for cochlear implant by a private ENT hospital in the Diamond City under the state Government's school health scheme in the last one year.

A get-together was organized by Shruti ENT Hospital at KP Trust Vidhya Sankul, Mukbadhir Vikas Trust School at Parle Point where the children from across south Gujarat, Vadodara, and Kheda were felicitated on Saturday.

Shruti ENT Hospital is the only private hospital to sign an MoU with the state Government for treating the deaf and dumb children under the school health scheme in April 2015.
