The correspondent of a special school for children with hearing and speech impairment in Tirupur was arrested by the Karumathampatty Police along with four of his employees on Tuesday after complaints of sexual assault were filed against them.
The correspondent K. Murugasamy of Tirupur Deaf and Dumb School has been slapped with charges of allegedly molesting and torturing school children.
The complaint has been filed by Arun Gandhi, a resident of Sulur and Shaktivel, who was working as a staff member in the school.
ccording to reports, Shaktivel who is also speech impaired called Arun Gandhi and informed him about the alleged atrocities through WhatsApp and 'IMO,'a video calling app.
Murugaswamy has also been accused of rape. The FIR copy states that the accused sexually assaulted Shaktivel's relative after he spiked her drink.
When the correspondent found out about the woman's pregnancy, he took her to a hospital to have an abortion done.
The police have also slapped similar charges against Murugasamy's employees Chitradevi, Rani, Pramila, Revathi and Babu.
