LAHORE: Maintaining its winning streak the Pakistan deaf cricket team defeated arch-rivals India by four wickets in the tri-nation series in Dhaka, Bangladesh on Monday.
This was Pakistan’s third win in the series, having beaten hosts Bangladesh and India by 38 runs and 101 runs earlier respectively.
Batting first, India managed a modest total of 97 for nine in 20 overs. Santosh 21and Manjeet 16 were India’s key scorers. Pakistan captain Qamar Naveed claimed three wickets while Naeem and Jabbar bagged two wickets each.
In reply, Pakistan romped home scoring 98 for six in 18.4 overs. Qamar, who was later declared as the man of the match, also excelled with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 38. Bilal Yousuf also contributed 18 runs. Majeed snared two wickets for India.
