A minor deaf and mute girl was raped by a 19-year-old youth in Athner Police Station limits here, police said.
The accused, identified as Surdas Gaud committed the crime when the girl was alone in the house in April this year. When the girl -- who studied up to class eight -- became pregnant, the family members enquired about it and she wrote the name of Gaud.
The victim's kin lodged a complaint against the youth, who is absconding since yesterday, police said.
