The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha on Wednesday declared the result of matriculation examinations.
Out of 3801 schools which participated in the exams, 577 schools have scored 100 percent results whereas 14 schools have secured zero results.
Surprisingly, Bhubaneswar’s Bhima Bhoi School for Blind and Bipin Bihari Choudhury School for Deaf have scored 100 percent results in the matriculation exam.
“All 11 students of our school who appeared in the exam have successfully cleared the exam and it is a proud moment for us. This will encourage the upcoming students to put their best for the exam,” says Gouranga Chandra Patra, Head Master, Bhima Bhoi school for blind.
“The topper of our school, Depak Kumar Bhoi has scored 454 marks and passed the exam with B1 grade while Pradeep Kumar Sahoo bagged B2 grade with 384 marks and is the second topper of our school. Kedar Khuntia is the third topper of our school with 366 marks and gets B2 grade,” he adds.
Five students of the school Madhumita Sahoo, Madhusmita Sahoo, Dilip Behera, Pratima Aind and Santosh Rout have passed the exam with C grade while three students Susama Ghadei, Sunita Sahoo and Nalini Palia have achieved D grades, according the Head Master.
Similarly, all 10 students of Bipin Bihari Choudhury School for deaf, who appeared in the exam, have successfully cleared the exam, informs Puspanjali Mohapatra, Head Mistress of the school.
Lipina Prusty holds the 1st rank in our school passing the exam in C grade with 305 marks. While six students of the school - Manoranjan Samantray, Priyanka Pradhan, Litu Mallick, Purnima Barik, Rakesh Guru and Subasis Patra - passed the exam in D grade, the remaining three students S. Padhi, Indira Priyadarshini and Pramod Gochayat achieved E grade in the exam.
“I'm visually impaired but I never consider myself a disabled. I followed the instruction of my teachers and put my best in learning. It is because of the hard work of my teachers like Gourang Sir, Tapas Sir that I am able to clear the exam and become the topper of the school,” says Deepak Kumar Bhoi, the topper of Bhima Bhoi School for blind .
“I want to enrol in a good institute for my higher studies. I have a special interest in Odia literature and after my plus two, I will definitely pursue my studies in Odia language,” he shares.
