Kanpur: Gorakhpur secured seven medals, including three gold and two silver, emerging victorious in the first UP Deaf Games that concluded at Ragendra Swarup Sports Academy on Saturday. Lucknow finished as runners-up with two gold, four silver and two bronze medals, whilst Bareilly claimed third position with four medals, including one gold and one silver. The championship featured Table Tennis and Badminton events with approximately 70 participants. Archana Pandey of Lucknow clinched the TT singles crown. Vimal Sharma of Bareilly captured the men's singles title. Aditya Yadav of Gorakhpur clained the badminton men's singles title. Chief guest Arun Pathak, member legislative council, and Sanjeev Pathak, patron KDBA, distributed prizes to the winners.
