MEET SODHPUR'S DEAF AND MUTE MAN WHO CAN EASILY COMMUNICATE THROUGH SMARTPHONE

When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade. This is certainly what West Bengal's Sodhpur resident Rajib Duta swears by. Despite being born as a deaf and mute, Dutta can extraordinarily communicate using a smartphone. However, there's a slight twist in the story, as he doesn't call normally as others do, he video calls efficiently to communicate.

Every day at Sodhpur station, locals surround Dutta, while some think he is mad, and few consider his acquired trait astonishing.

As he works for a shoe company in Kalighat, his sustains his family on minimal income. However, his wife and family are quite happy with him.
Dutta's wife Pinki is also deaf and dumb. They studied together in Maniktala's deaf and dumb school. Even though the parents are deaf and dumb, their 11-year-old son is absolutely normal and can speak and hear properly.
