After the successful return of Geeta, the deaf and mute girl, to India from Pakistan, it is Mohammad Ramzan who is waiting to reunite with his family in Karachi.
15-year-old Ramzan ran away from home in Bangladesh after he was abused by his step mother. He accidently crossed the Bangladesh-India border and entered India in 2011 with the hope of meeting his own mother in Karachi.
In yet another friendly gesture from India, Union External Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted on Saturday afternoon, "In case Pakistan is ready to accept #Ramzan, we will send him back."
In response to her tweet, Pakistan's federal information Minister Pervez Rashid while speaking to India Today, said that Pakistan will appreciate and acknowledge role of everyone who would help in reuniting Ramzan with his mother in Karachi. He said, "It will be great service to reunite the teenager with his mother who is anxiously awaiting for him. We will appreciate Indian Govt for its effort to reunite the kid with mother."
