GUWAHATI, Feb 19 - The 15th All India Cultural Festival for the Deaf will be held here from March 25 to 29. The programme is being organised by All India Deaf Arts and Cultural Society, New Delhi and is being hosted by Assam Association of the Deaf.
Nearly 1,400 participants and workers from across the country are likely to take part in the event.
“An organising committee has been formed for the purpose with Governor of Assam PB Acharya as the chief patron, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal as patrons among others,” stated a release.
The organisers have prepared a budget of Rs 22 lakh for the event.
