The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), along with National Convention of Educators of the Deaf (NCED) India, is organising the 81st NCED-Annual National Conference-2016 here on February 15, 16 and 17.
The theme of the conference is ‘Empowerment of Children with Hearing Impairment –New Trends and Developments’.
The inaugural function of the conference will be held at 10 a.m. on February 15 at the Knowledge Park.
Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Joint Secretary (DEPwD), Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi, will be the chief guest at the inaugural event and Shantha Radhakrishna, Director, SGS Vagdevi Centre for the Rehabilitation of Communication Impaired, Bengaluru, will be the guest of honour. There are eight sub-themes which are covering the methods of empowering children with hearing impairment, recent trends in the field of hearing impairment, a release said.
