14.02.2016, Gurgaon: MCG, in association with Gurgaon Round Table, has decided to develop a cricket ground with floodlights to create a revenue source for running a school for the deaf and mute. The plot behind the school in Sector 15 will be used for the purpose.
The school needs Rs 14 lakh every month for its expenses but there is no source of revenue except the government funding.
MCG commissioner T L Satyaprakash told TOI that the school was recently adopted by Gurgaon Round Table and it has prepared a detailed plan for upgrading its infrastructure and making its self sustainable.

According to the plan, the vacant land behind the school will be developed as a cricket ground and floodlights will be installed at a cost of about Rs 50 lakh. "The ground will be rented out to different public and private organisations for cricket matches," said Satyaprakash."The fees for using the facility and additional grant by the organisers as charity will be used exclusively for the development and meeting expenses of the school," informed Vikas Bhalotia of the Gurgaon Round Table.Additional deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh, who was also present on the occasion, will oversee the project and ensure that the school gets all support from the district administration.
